Braxton - A Scrooged Christmas Page 5

She whispered, “I love you William Pierce,” and leaned up toward him.

He pulled the earplugs then cupped her face in his hands, slowly pulling her lips to his as he slid inside.

She moaned against his mouth and pushed her body harder into his.

He let go of her face, wrapped his arms around her, and lifted her off the bed.

The pleasure of him so deep inside had her biting into his shoulder. He moved her body up and down on his, and she buried her face in his neck. There was no doubt in her mind that Braxton was still there. The other thing she knew was that she didn’t want Braxton to do this to her. She wanted to savor this moment with her husband. No one else could make her feel the way she felt at that moment.

Pleasure and heartbreak brewed within her. She could feel herself growing tight around him as a tear snuck out of the corner of her eye. She wanted to remain like this forever. Why does he have to be taken from me so soon? We should die an old wrinkled couple together in our bed.

Will wrapped an arm under her rear and lifted her head with his other. “Look at me, beautiful.”

She didn’t want to cry, but she couldn’t stop the tears from falling. “I’m going to be so lost. What will I do without you?”

“A love this pure and true lives a full life even after death.”

She began to cry a little more, but Will quickly changed her tears to happy ones.

“Hey, you can’t cry with my dick inside you,” he said as he chuckled.

Her laugher made her body clench tight around his, which pushed away the sadness.

He carried her to their dresser and sat her on it. It was the perfect height, and it was directly across from their full-length mirror.

He wiped her tears then laced his fingers in her long hair. “Watch me make love to you,” he whispered against her lips.

She wrapped her legs around his waist and watched his taut ass flex each time he pushed inside. She leaned her head back in pleasure and could still see him in the mirror behind her. Will always found the perfect angle, so when she tilted her head back, she could see the front of him in the mirror behind her and the back of him in the full-length mirror. Her loving eyes rotated between locking to his and staring at his flexing ass cheeks as dick slipped in and out, covered in her wetness.

Yes, they were being watched, but the moment was theirs. He would show Braxton a different way to make love to his wife. That right there would remain something special between just the two of them.

A cruel world would pull them apart, but it could never take the memory of a moment like this. Her body wrapped tight around his as her hair dangled down her back, swaying back and forth with each passionate drive, the beautiful shape of her body accentuated by every curve. The way the candles flickered in her eyes looked like a light hiding deep in a forest. These were all things Will would remember even after death claimed him.

Braxton knew training had been put on pause, so he quietly slipped from the bedroom with his clothes in hand.

Surprisingly, he felt good about how the night had gone. He hadn’t gotten to make love to Gemma, but he didn’t feel like it was meant to happen right then, and if he was being honest with himself, he really wanted that moment to happen when she felt the same way about him that he did about her.

One short month later, Will passed away.

His final request to her was asked just before she felt the final breath of life leave his body. “Please, allow Braxton to love you. A part of me will forever live in him.”

Gemma cried into Will’s body until he felt cold. His spirit was gone. Nothing was left but a vessel, but Gemma didn’t let go until they came to take him away.

Braxton scooped her into his arms, cradling her head away from the people loading Will’s body. She held on tight and told herself not to watch them take him from her; she didn’t want that to be her last memory of him, and through Braxton, Will made sure it wasn’t.

Time had never seemed to be on Will and Gemma’s side, but serendipity was. Fate had found a way to keep Will alive. Nothing about their triangle of love was conventional, but every bit of it seemed to be the way life had planned for them.

A love that strong could never truly die. It was still felt through the patience and devotion of another. Braxton could never replace Will, but Gemma felt her husband’s presence in every move Braxton made. They had put this plan together without her knowledge, and it was the best thing any dying husband could leave his wife. She would never take the gift for granted, because without Braxton, she wouldn’t exist. She would have taken her life the moment Will had died, but because of Braxton and Will’s plan, she never felt alone. Gemma had received a gift comparable to no other.

Time passed, but day after day, year after year, their love lived on, because a love that pure and true lives a full life even after death.
